Experience
It means a lot to me to see the look of realization and accomplishment when a student has a breakthrough, and a concept they have struggled with "clicks." It is so important, and I believe this strongly, that students must see the real-world application of the lessons they are learning. There must be relevance for students in order for them to get the most out of the material and retain information. This is precisely why I work hard to make tutoring sessions as practical and visual as possible. I have a lot of experience as a teacher and tutor over the last eleven years. I have taught students of varying backgrounds in different settings, encouraging them through challenges to achieve academic success. Although I have tutored many subjects, I am the most excited about Math. I attended the University of Colorado, where I studied Economics and earned a bachelor's degree. Then I went to the University of Arizona and obtained a degree in law. Since then, I have worked as an educator, both as a professional and volunteer. In my free time, I enjoy watching and playing sports, listening to music, and going on nature walks.
