I have a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education from Arizona State University. I graduated in 2006 with a 3.8 GPA. I am highly qualified to teach k-8. I have a Masters in Education in Educational Administration and Supervision from Arizona State University where I graduated with a 3.8 GPA. I have a Principal certificate to become a k-12 administrator.
Experience
I have tutored in the past for a 2nd grader in all subject, a 3rd grader in reading comprehension, a 1st grader in all subjects, and a 4th grader in all subjects. I am currently in my 9th year of teaching. I have taught 1st grade, 2nd grade, and 4th grade all subjects. I am currently an Instructional Specialist where I observe and provide support on instructional strategies to teachers and the principal at my school. I would like to be a tutor so I can support students in their success and help them feel confident in their academics. I want to teach them strategies that will provide them support with the new Arizona College and Career Readiness Standards. The goal is to teach the student so they can be confident and independent in their academics. I have taken over 300 hours in professional development to further my growth and understanding in 21st century teaching methods. I have training with the new ELA standards, Math standards, writing standards. I also train teachers on these standards as well as on instructional strategies. I am a Rodel exemplary student teacher and I am a trained evaluator on the TAP instructional rubric.
