Experience
I have tutored a 7th grader in phonics and study skills and I have done after school tutoring for 5th grade in all subject areas at my current school. I currently teach 5th grade reading and I am in my 9th year of teaching and I have taught 4th grade all subjects, 5th grade all subjects, and 6th grade all subjects. I want to be a tutor so that I can support students in their learning so they may become independent learners and develop a love for learning. I have many Professional Development hours in new teaching strategies with the Arizona College and Career Readiness Standards. I have been recently trained in the AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) strategies. I am a TAP certified evaluator where I observe and evaluate my colleagues on the TAP instructional rubric. I am the school technology liaison, where I support the teachers in using new technology and provide professional development in using the technology.

Hobbies
I enjoy going to the gym and working out. Any outdoor activities are some of my favorite things to do. I enjoy traveling as often as I can with my wife. I love art and I draw or paint anytime I have the opportunity.
