As far back as I can remember, I have always loved studying math. I attended Missouri University of Science and Technology, where I studied engineering. Upon graduating, I worked as a satellite engineer for an aerospace program.While I loved my job as an engineer, I changed careers in order to be closer to my family. In this time, I taught mathematics part-time at a private school. This experience showed me just how much I loved teaching, and it has now developed into a passion.I tutor algebra, calculus, and trigonometry. In addition, I prepare students for ACCUPLACER, the ACT, and the PSAT. I am also able to help students improve their reading and writing skills. I love being able to approach lessons through different and creative methods, and helping students overcome challenges in a fun and engaging manner.In my free time I love reading, especially mystery and suspense novels.
