I have great confidence in my ability to provide quality tutoring in a variety of subjects. My work history and educational background have prepared me well to assist others in the learning of history, languages, and humanities. I worked in government contracting for several years, based in Washington DC and abroad. As an educator, I have a strong history of teaching languages, especially English. My first language was not English; I learned it in ESL classes. In addition, I learned other languages as an adult. I have a BA in International Studies and Linguistics from Emory University. I continued my education at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies where I earned an MA in International Relations. I also earned an MA in French. Having traveled and worked in many places, I know firsthand just how challenging it is to learn a new language. But on the other hand, I have a keen awareness of how beneficial it is to learn about cultures and languages other than our own. Sharing my skills and expertise with others is something I greatly enjoy doing, and I would be happy to serve as a tutor.
